Meet Veronica

We have discovered her to be a very affectionate and appreciative young girl.

Veronica’s neighbor Evelyn, brought her to our clinic, because she had been missing school , due to all her abdominal pain.We had to refer her to specialists, who diagnosed her with Hemotocolpos Radiopada. Meaning she had a perforated hymen, with a large build up of dried blood. The specialist said that if she is not operated on before her next period, she would die. We posted a message on social media asking for financial help, as we do not have a budget for operations of the sort. A surgeon was able to spin a little tale which got her into the theater the next night, rather than the week it might have taken.

To sum it up:

All the money and some, came in to cover all the costs. She was released three days later, the operation considered successful. We have put her into a different school, since being released. We bought the family (single dad, and older brother) a pile of groceries.Bought her a new school uniform, some clothes, and shoes for both kids.We also blessed Evelyn’s’ 10 year old with a new uniform.Veronica and her dad come to the clinic, for check ups and to say hi/thanks.

The only downside is that in the West, this operation might have been done under local anesthesia in a relatively short time. But not over here!

Dad, Fran, Veronica, and kind neighbor Evelyn.
